Empyrean Scorpion

The house is based out of Memphis, Egypt during the reign of Ramses III, just after the Fall of Troy. (Approx. 1190-1150 BC) It is primarily an Egyptian Household that incorporates the Arcadian fighting style with other aspects and the spice of the surrounding areas, including Arabian, Nubian, Libyan, Syrian and other lifestyles of the South / Southeast Mediterranean regions.
Our focus is on group combat tactics, specifically the phalanx fighting style that incorporates the spear and shield with archers; the performing arts, focusing in fire and dance; and both the study and teaching of other scholarly endeavors.
Empyrean - The highest reaches of heaven, believed by the ancients to be a realm of pure fire or light.
Scorpion - As a symbol, it was found on many occasions in both Egyptian and Arcadian history and lore. In Egyptian lore, the scorpion was associated with the Goddess Serket, who was known as the Goddess of medicine, magic and the protector of the King. Also there were seven named scorpions (Petet, Tjetet, Matet, Mesetet, Mesetetef, Tefen, and Befen) sent to protect Isis. One major symbolical aspect in Greek history is that scorpion means “First Strike”.
